so i have watched the super mario galaxy movie and i'll talk about it. the reason why critics didn't like this movie was because many references only gamers understand were put into the movie, so they were thinking "why is this in the plot" 80% of the time. i think a story about the world of mario (mario world if you will) can have a balance between plot and references, but this felt a bit bland. yes, it still follows the theme of !!SPOILER ALERT!! sibling rescue but i felt like there were less emotive themes. in the first movie, the mario bros. bond was endearing since from the start they were shown to care for each other and that was throughout the whole movie, but here they just said "oh by the way peach and rosalina are sisters" and don't do much about it 'til the end. i was watching in 3d and felt yoshi's snout touching me. the movie existed so much that i spilled the drink near the end. i will give it, without gamer bias, a 104°/180° (or 1.815 rad)
you know the sticks of joy on your game of video controllers, right? well, i thought, what if they were able to be moved on all three dimensions? like, you could retract and extend them however you'd like. kinda like how you push in the sticks, but that's a binary value. depending on how elevated the sticks are, they will have a different effect on the game. yes, you would have to use two fingers to raise them, but the idea is fun regardless
